Ciara Kalan

Bookkeeper - CGL Tax

Born and raised in the small community of Hay River, NWT, Ciara came to Alberta when she attended Grande Prairie Regional College (now known as Northwestern Polytechnic) for Business Administration. Ciara obtained her Diploma from GPRC at the end of 2015.

After completing her Diploma, she stayed in Grande Prairie for three more years before moving back to the NWT.

But once she had a taste for life in Alberta, as we all know, she felt herself being drawn back in, and in 2020, Ciara made a move to Red Deer, where she now calls it home.

Ciara has broad experience in a multitude of roles in the business world, including administration, human resources, accounting, and insurance.

She completed her General Level 1 Insurance License in 2021, however, she realized it was not the path for her. We are glad she found her way back into the accounting, administrative, and bookkeeping world at our firm.

She enjoys learning new things - which is great for us because small firms constantly have new scenarios walking in the door - no two clients are the same. We love the fact she enjoys being experienced in multiple different roles, and we look forward to finding out how many roles she can take on.

In her spare time, Ciara enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and fur-baby while gardening, quadding, and camping.
