- Accounting Technician (Accounting Diploma and 2 years experience required)
- Seasonal Personal Tax Preparer (2+ years experience required)
- Senior Bookkeeper (Training and 5+ years experience required)

Details:
Job tasks will vary by position, but we work as a team, so many of us at one point or another will have to do the following tasks:
- Answering phones, taking messages, and screening calls (mostly telling off telemarketers)
- Booking and confirming appointments for clients and staff
- Collecting and processing Accounts Receivable
- Dealing with people… if you don’t like people… then don’t apply
- Using computers… shocking… we know
- Sorting, filing, archiving. and scanning
- Data entry including updating and maintaining our Client Relationship Management system database
- Maintaining a constant friendly tone with customers
- Working in a blue-collar office environment.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with our standards for clients in a variety of businesses
- Effective communication with our clients, staff, and the CRA
- Providing advice and training to other staff members
- Build relationships with clients
- Networking to help grow the practice
- Recruitment of clients
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Results oriented
- Proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Previous experience with an accounting or tax program such as Caseware or Intuit Profile is an asset
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

- Knows what it takes to work hard, take initiative, and be part of a successful team
- Willing to work overtime hours and some Saturdays when required in March and April
- Able to learn computer skills quickly
- Focused on attention to detail and understands it is paramount to our success
